Exploring New Markets - Cooperatives & Credit Unions
One of the major focuses for the initiative in 2015 is to broaden the platform and the operational toos available in the community to fully support the global financial cooperative sector. There are tens of thousands of financial cooperatives or savings-led organizations of all forms - SACCOs, Credit Unions, cooperatives, credit societies, ROSCAs, ASCAs, etc that represent a huge market segment that can be a part of the Mifos community. This session will build off the ongoing work that's been done to fully identify the remaining requirements and needs to fully support cooperatives so we can continue adding support for these must-have features such as teller cash management, shares, dividends, etc. This interactive discussion and exploratory session will be led by Dayna Harp, the Mifos Director of Strategic Initiatives, who brings extensive expertise from the US credit union sector including serving as CEO of the White House Federal Credit Union.
